Opta were delighted to take home three awards from the Social Buzz Awards at Wembley Stadium.
From the main awards, we scooped the prize for Best Use of Twitter and from the Golden Twits, also announced at the same ceremony, we won Best B2c and Best Sports Twitter accounts.

Liverpool FC Go Live With Opta Widgets
Liverpool FC's official website, www.liverpoolfc.tv has gone live with a range of Opta football widgets.
The widgets are the first in a series and offer the chance for Liverpool's millions of fans worldwide to compare and contrast player performances using a number of Opta stats categories.

NEWS Opta Nominated for Social Buzz Award
Opta are delighted to have been nominated for Best Use of Twitter in the 2011 Social Buzz Awards. The awards are designed to recognise and reward the most effective social media strategies and campaigns in the UK. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Wembley Stadium in December. Opta to Power Live Rugby World Cup App
Opta Rugby data is being used to power an innovative new mobile app for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
Live Rugby 2011 is available on Android devices and has a wide range of live Opta data for every match of the tournament.
The data includes live scores and scorers, a text commentary and description of key events, graphical statitsics and representations of every scrum, try, conversion, line-out, tackle, pass and defence beaten.
There is also the option to compare team and player performance and to share comments and analysis with other users.
"The amount of data available from Opta is impressive", says Guiseppe Sollazzo, developer of Live Rugby 2011. "Opta is the leading provider of real-time sports information and being able to use this data is amazing. I can literally track every tackle, pass, try and scrum on the pitch and compare success rates on the fly".
