Bamboo Investments PLC was launched in July 2000 to invest in technology and other high growth technology companies. In May 2003 approximately £6.9 million was returned to shareholders through a tender offer, and Albion Ventures was appointed fund manager. In April 2005, the Company's portfolio was transferred to Bamboo Investments (Isle of Man) PLC, under a scheme of arrangement, with Bamboo shareholders receiving 20 new shares in Bamboo Isle of Man, in place of their existing shares.

The policy of Bamboo Isle of Man is to wind down its investment portfolio over time and return cash to shareholders. To this effect, some £8.6 million was returned in October 2005, and a further £1.75 million was returned in May 2006. Further distributions will be made when appropriate.
