Careforce
A number of funds managed by Albion Ventures invested £4.5 million in Careforce Group Limited back in July 2000 (through a mixture of loan stock and equity). In November 2004 Careforce floated on London’s AIM Market and became Careforce Group plc. At the time of flotation the amount invested originally was returned to the Albion Ventures' funds, with 20% of the company still held post-float.
Careforce provides domiciliary care services, primarily caring for the elderly and infirm in their own homes, which are delivered principally through outsourcing arrangements with local authorities. The business was formed in 1999 by Mike Rogers (Chief Executive) to take advantage of the growing trend for local authorities to outsource domiciliary care to the private sector.
With investment from Funds managed by Albion Ventures, Careforce has acquired many other domiciliary care businesses and now operates from branches across Lancashire, Yorkshire, East Anglia, the Midlands and the South East of England.
