Hawkwell VCT Limited acquired the Hawkwell House hotel in Iffley in Oxford in 1997. Funds managed by Albion Ventures funds invested £3.38 million to acquire and extend the hotel.
The company was sold in 2002 realising a profit for funds managed by Albion Ventures of £840,000, in addition to which the funds had received an income yield of approximately 10 per cent. per annum.
