Premier VCT (Mailbox) Limited owned and operated the 90 bedroom Ramada Hotel in the Mailbox development in Birmingham. Funds managed by Albion Ventures invested £5.4 million in the company, the original investment being made in December 1999. The hotel opened in 2001, initially as a Days Inn, and subsequently became a Days Hotel. It was then refurbished and rebranded as a Ramada Hotel. The company was sold in 2007 realising a profit for funds managed by Albion Ventures of £3.2 million, in addition to which the funds had received an income yield of approximately 10 per cent per annum.
